Hello

Ms Doyle, I note with interest your legal experience. As you will no
doubt have gathered from my company's website, we are in need of a
certain amount of legal advice.

I wonder if we might talk soon?

Yours,
J.

2. Vpisteve received an update on the progress of the Mac version of Mephista.

We will be releasing NSB for MacOS and various flavours of UNIX, but
I couldn't give you a date. Win32 is priority.

3. SpaceBass corresponded a bit with Eric Wyngarde about the browser. Note how Eric changed the subject line. These are quotes from Wyngarde.HTM embedded in the browser.

I'm sure she'll have a couple of interesting things to say. Never know, she
might surprise you.

Are you using Beta 2? What do you think of it?

Yes, I am using Beta 2. To be honest, it doesn't seem much different from
Beta 1, save for the fact that Mephista is a little less talkative and takes
a little longer to show up. What is the intended goal of this embedded AI?

I also find it intriguing that both beta versions had embedded HTML files
similar to the welcome and help pages, yet named for the management staff of
Net:Sight. Could you shed some light on the reason for their inclusion? Are
they just some easter egg for curious fellows to stumble upon? Is there some
significance to the quotes they contain? I can find no mention of them in
the help file or on your website.

I also have a few suggestions for improvement if I may be so presumptuous.
The history and bookmarks features at present do not seem to be preserved
between browsing sessions, which would be helpful as I'm not sure what the
usefulness is of bookmarks that disappear when you close the browser? Also,
I use a wheel mouse and I have found that when I type a URL in the address
bar and the page loads, the window focus does not move to the browsing
window but rather stays on the address bar. Thus, when I attempt to scroll
the browser window with the mouse wheel, I inevitably scroll through the
list URLs instead, which is quite bothersome.

All in all, I enjoy your product. It's quite small, renders quickly, and
looks to have some very interesting upcoming features.

Thanks for your personal response. I expect you must be very busy with your
work and I appreciate the attention.

Regards,
SpaceBass

Bookmarks and the Trail not being saved, that's a known bug. It'll be
fixed in the very near future. In fact, I suspect it's fixed already.

Wheel scrolling in the URL field, that's also a known bug. I'm not sure if
it's fixed yet though.

As for the agent, I don't think there's anything enabled in the Betas of
much use, so you're right there. Still, she's fun.
